MISSION

At Our Way Home,

We are committed to creating a future where every child regardless of their socio-economic background has access to meaningful opportunities that empower them to thrive. We believe that education, creativity, and community support are the cornerstones of personal success, and we strive to provide transformative after-school programs that inspire, challenge, and uplift young minds.

Serving Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties, our programs are designed to bridge the opportunity gap for children and teens aged 8 to 18. We offer a dynamic blend of academic enrichment, arts education, and athletics, ensuring that each participant has the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to excel in every aspect of their lives. Whether through music, visual arts, sports, STEM initiatives, or college and career readiness, we create a safe and inclusive environment where young people can explore their potential and develop a strong sense of self.

A Legacy of Empowerment

Founded by Jaylen Davis and Luxamira Sanchez, Our Way Home is more than just an organization—it is a movement fueled by passion, purpose, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Our founders, both deeply committed to community development, saw a pressing need for accessible, high-quality after-school programming in underserved areas. Their vision was simple but powerful: to create a home away from home where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to dream big.

Since our inception, we have worked tirelessly to remove barriers to success by offering free and low-cost programs, providing scholarships, and fostering mentorship opportunities. We understand that a child’s potential should never be limited by financial circumstances, which is why we partner with educators, local businesses, and community leaders to create sustainable pathways to success.

Our Commitment to Excellence

At Our Way Home, we take pride in offering:

  • Academic Support & Enrichment – From tutoring and homework assistance to college prep and career exploration, we help students build a strong educational foundation.

  • Creative Arts & Expression – We encourage self-expression and creative confidence through music, dance, theater, and visual arts.

  • Athletics & Wellness – We promote physical fitness, teamwork, and leadership through various sports and wellness programs.

  • Community & Mentorship – Every child needs a support system. Our mentors and volunteers provide guidance, life skills, and encouragement to help students navigate their personal and academic journeys.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Our Way Home is more than just a program. It’s a lifeline for students who need a space to grow, connect, and discover their full potential. By fostering an environment of learning, creativity, and resilience, we aim to shape a generation of leaders who will go on to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Every success story that comes from Our Way Home is a testament to what is possible when young people are given the resources, opportunities, and belief that they can achieve greatness. We are not just guiding students. We are walking alongside them on their journey to success.

Join us as we continue to empower the next generation one child, one dream, and one success story at a time.
